Viropil Tablet (Dolutegravir/Lamivudine/Tenofovir)

Viropil tablet consists of active substances called Dolutegravir, Lamivudine, and Tenofovir disoproxil fumarate. Dolutegravir is an antiretroviral medicine belonging to the integrase inhibitor family. Lamivudine, Tenofovir disoproxil fumarate, which belongs to the antiretroviral medicine class. This medicine treats HIV (human immunodeficiency virus) infection in adults and children with 40kg or greater. It is a nucleotide reverse transcriptase inhibitor (NRTI) and works by inhibiting the enzymes (HIV reverse transcriptase), which is important for virus replication. While consuming this medicine, you may still develop infections related to HIV. Do not take Viropil tablets if you are allergic to Dolutegravir, Lamivudine, Tenofovir Disoproxil Fumarate, or its other medical ingredients. Patients diagnosed with pancreatitis or at risk of pancreatitis should take this combination of medicine cautiously. During this treatment, your doctor may periodically monitor your blood counts, bone mineral density, and liver and kidney parameters to prevent serious complications. Notify your doctor if you have or have had a history of lactic acidosis (excess lactic acid), pancreatitis (inflammation in the pancreas), bone disease (osteonecrosis - the death of bone tissue), fractures, liver (chronic hepatitis B), or kidney problems.

Human Immunodeficiency Virus 1 (HIV) infection in adults and children (40kg or greater).

Viropil tablet lowers HIV by inhibiting its replication. It increases the number of CD4 (T) cells, enabling the immune system to fight other infections. This lowers the risk of severity and death associated with a weak immune system

Certain medications interact with Viropil Tablet and reduce their effectiveness by causing undesirable side effects

It is taken orally. Your doctor will decide the dose and duration of Viropil based on the disease condition and other factors. Always take this medicine as prescribed by your doctor. Take the tablet at the same time. Do not take an additional dose to compensate for the missed dose. Do not chew, dissolve, crush, or break the tablet
